PRODUCT FACTORY WARRENTIES

 

Factory warrenties are honored by returning the product to Star Air and Supplies. Buyer is responsable for return shipping. We will then replace any warrentiable products, and ship them back to you.

 

Parts only for warrenty returns. HVAC equipment sales are final. We will, however, honor parts warrenties

associated with the unit components that fail under warrenty. (Example: If the compressor fails, return the compressor, not the whole unit).

 

In any case, the failed part must qualify for factory warrenty replacement as set forth by the manufactorer's warrenty rules.

 

EQUPMENT SHIPPING DAMAGE

 

HVAC Equipment shipped frieght is package for maximum protection during shipping. In the rare instance the equipment is damaged when you recieve it, you must inspect it and reject the shipment and return it, and contact us immediately. When we recieve the damaged equipment, we will ship you out another product.

 

The shipping charge includes insurance.

 

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COMPRESSOR WARRENTY

Compressors are warrentied for a year against defects. However, in case of a burnt out compressor, this will not be covered by the compressor warrenty.

 

A burn out is caused when the old compressor suffers from burn out due to acidic condition in the compressor. If a new compressor is installed, and the acid is not properly cleaned out, it will suffer burn out too. THIS IS NOT COVERED IN THE COMPRESSOR WARRENTY.

 

SYMPTOMS OF AN ACIDIC BURN OUT

 

• FOUL SMELLING FREON
• BLACK COMPRESSOR OIL
• COMPRESSOR OIL HAS HIGH ACID PH
• COMPRESSOR SHORTS AND TRIPS BREAKER WHEN ENERGIZED
• COMPRESSOR TERMINALS BLOW OUT

IF YOUR OLD COMPRESSOR HAS ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS, YOU MUST BUY AN ACID CLEAN OUT KIT ALONG WITH THE NEW COMPRESSOR

 

If a compressor is returned for warrenty, it will be checked foir acid burnout before a new compressor is shipped out.
